Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Elmhurst is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Elmhurst is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

To aid in the chilly weather of false spring I decided to look up some highly rated ramen spots in the area of Queens. I managed to land on this one! I can say, I was not disappointed. My ramen came out quickly and was piping hot. The broth was flavorful and seasoned well. The noodles were also filling along with the pork. The matcha wasn’t as sweet as I was expecting but that’s ok! I appreciate the authenticity. The only critique would be towards another customer who was speaking obnoxiously loud to their friend right across from them which soured the experience just a little bit as I could hardly focus on eating. Other than that, it was a 10/10 experience. The server was quick, efficient and very kind! I will return and recommend others to do the same.

Finally found a hidden gem nearby! 🍜 After the snow today, I was craving a warm bowl of ramen and Seichou delivered. I ordered the Steak Ramen and it was delicious. We started with the fried squid legs, which were super crispy and flavorful. To drink, the Iced Matcha Latte was a pleasant surpriseβ€”not too milky, just the way a real matcha should be. They have a massive menu, so I’ll definitely be back to try more!

Yesterday was so cold, and this ramen was amazing. Very flavorful and filling. Will definitely go back and try another dish. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

This is my go-to Japanese restaurant in Elmhurst. I’ve tried many of their dishes and they consistently meet my expectations. I highly recommend the Takoyaki and ikageso β€”the Takoyaki comes in a generous portion and is full of flavor, while the ikageso is tasty and perfectly crispy. The Niku Udon and Gyudon are quite similar (one with noodles, the other with rice), and both are enjoyable. I’ve also tried the Steak Ramen and Chashu Don, which were decent, though not my top picks. For the Ebi Fried, I personally wish the shrimp were a bit larger. Overall, I really enjoy this restaurant, which is why I keep coming back to try more of their dishes. The Takoyaki alone makes every visit worthwhile.

So happy our neighborhood finally has its own ramen spot! They have a nice selection of ramen and other dishes. We really like the shoyu ramen and steak ramen, which have a rich, comforting broth and perfectly tender noodles. The chicken katsu curry is another go-to for us. The curry is full of flavor, and the chicken katsu is cooked perfectly. The gyoza was also great. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend checking them out!!
